Mission Statement
The Drunk Driving Prevention Program commits to making an active contribution with a community impact in lowering the number of vehicle incidents involving an impaired driver. We accomplish this by providing a free, safe, sober ride home for all DoD ID card holders and their vehicles; In turn actively keeping impaired drivers off the road.
Description
Our organization is entirely operated by volunteers who offer their time, skills, vehicles, and even gas, to help ensure that the roadways may stay a little safer from impaired drivers. We are a non-centralized, large network of volunteers operating mostly virtually online to ensure that participants get the pickup that they need. Anyone with a valid DoD ID may pre-register in our Ride program to receive a free pickup for themselves and their vehicle. We alleviate two of the main arguments for not getting a ride; Cost and leaving their vehicle. All of our volunteers are trained on proper procedures. We dispatch two volunteers at a time for everyone's safety and accountability. We receive so much good feedback from our participants and volunteers, we continue to strive to expand our service areas.
