Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund is a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, the transgendered, and people with HIV/AIDS, through impact litigation, education and public policy work. Founded in 1973, Lambda is not-for-profit and tax-exempt.

Description

Lambda works in a variety of areas, including constitutional law, employment, public accommodations, equal marriage rights, the military, parenting and relationship issues, domestic partner benefits, sodomy law challenges, immigration, access to health care, anti-gay referenda and HIV/AIDS-related discrimination. Offices in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Dallas.
