AFS-USA INC (Greater Illinois Team)

Description

AFS-USA is a worldwide, nonprofit organization that has been a leader in international high school student exchange for nearly seven decades, and:
* exchanges almost 13,000 individuals each year
* has more than 50 partner organizations including AFS-USA
* maintains an alumni network of more than 424,000 individuals around the world
* is supported by nearly 44,000 AFS Volunteers worldwide

The AFS-USA Greater Illinois volunteer team works with families and students in Illinois who live in areas outside of Chicago metropolitan area. Our geographic area extends from the Fox River east to the Mississippi, and includes the Quad Cities in Iowa. We also cover from the Wisconsin border to south/central Illinois. The AFS Greater Illinois team has approximately 100 registered and trained volunteers and supports 50-60 AFS foreign exchange high school students and host families each year, as well as local American students who wish to study abroad.
