SAVEarth's mission is to take salvageable things that are otherwise thrown into landfills and repurpose them for use through donations to the vulnerable people in the United States and developing countries. This endeavor will help save perfectly good things from going into our landfills through methods to repurpose and reuse. We aim to engage the local peoples to get involved in the process, thus, providing a livelihood for the communities that we help in the developing world.
Non-governmental, 2- volunteer 501c3 non-profit organization. We are currently repurposing previously discarded new ski boot liners and combining them with new PVC rubber outer boots to create very warm and waterproof winter boots for the homeless and economically disadvantaged people of Alaska. We have a sustainable yearly source of approx. 1000 pairs of ski boot liners to prepare for October distribution in Anchorage and beyond. We do some sorting and preparation in Las Vegas in the summer, then send them up to Alaska. We appreciate any volunteer help in prepping the boots in Vegas... planned dates are August 7-10 this year, 2017.
