Mission Statement

The Mission that began over 20 years ago is still continuing to this day. Our goal is to save as many rabbits as we can and adopt them out as INDOOR pet companions. We also strive to educate the public on the proper care, needs and expectations involved with having a pet rabbit, and what the rabbits requirements are of his or her human caretakers. When most people see a rabbit, they think of a cage with a rabbit sitting inside, or a rabbit in a backyard hutch. We want our community to think outside the cage. Domestic rabbit’s are social and thrive in an indoor environment where they are loved, cared for, and where their minds are stimulated daily.

Description

Established in 1994, the MOHRS is committed to rescuing domesticated house rabbits and educating the public to their proper care. Since our formation, we have rescued over 2000 bunnies in the Kansas City Metropolitan area.

The MOHRS is an all volunteer, non profit, no kill animal rescue. Not only are we committed to the health and wellbeing of every rabbit we take in, but 100% of the donations we receive go towards our mission of rescue and the care of our rescued rabbits!
