To promote cultural, educational, and socioeconomic development in the refugee and immigrant communities to support successful resettlement and self-sufficiency.

Description

The Refugee & Immigrant Assistance Center (RIAC), formerly known as the Somali Women and Children’s Association, was established in 1993. It is a community-based, grassroots organization dedicated to promoting educational and socio-economic development in Massachusetts refugee and immigrant communities. After resttling refugees, RIAC provides comprehensive support services to ensure a smooth transition to life in the United States. Some of our programs include ESL classes, job readiness, citizenship assistance, mental health and trauma, domestic violence, health initiatives, etc.
