We are looking for caring individuals to assist our patient families & visit our patients. If you have spare time during the week or weekend and love to visit with others, we have the perfect spot for you. Our patients love visitors & welcome all age groups. Don't let a disability stop you from getting out and meeting people. We have patients from all walks of life. The joy they get from your visit is so gratifying. The days & hours are flexible. I work with your schedule. If you have at least one hour or more a week to give, I would love to speak with you. If you are retired, we should talk. There is nothing more rewarding than giving of your time to others.

We have so many opportunities for you to share yourself with others. Our patients and their families love to see our volunteers. We have opportunities ranging from sitting with patients, to running errands for a family member, music therapy, playing games, reading to patients and visiting with them. We also have administrative opportunities in our office, answering phones, filing. We have special projects, art, making decorations etc. Bingo, puzzles, ice cream socials are some of the favorite activities in the facilities we serve. Our patients would love their hair done and/or manicures. We are giving back to those who have given so much to us. We have many Veterans on service who would love a visit from a fellow veteran. Music is the Pathway to the Soul

Music reaches even the most distant memories. Alamo Hospice is looking for Music Therapist Volunteers to assist with patients in the Conroe area. Patients are in local nursing homes and their private homes. The hours are flexible and the rewards are many. I have witnessed the results of an Alzheimer/Dementia patient responding to the music of their era.
