Mission Statement

United Way 2-1-1 is a free and unique community information and referral service that connects people in need with the appropriate community-based organizations and government agencies using the national abbreviated dialing code (2-1-1) designated by the FCC in July 2000.
2-1-1 provides a single access point in the event of a local disaster or national emergency
2-1-1 is an easy way for people to navigate the complex and ever-growing maze of human services.

Description

Interview and assess caller needs and refer to appropriate community resources.
Work with an extensive health and human service taxonomy to make refferals.
Intervene on behalf of the caller when needed
Network with agencies and participate in community outreach when available.
Services provided by multilingual staff.
