Mission Statement
Morgan Duke Conservation Society helps maintain and preserve the natural resources and the environment in the Adirondack Preserves, Catskill Preserves, and other places in New York State. We want the current and future generations to enjoy the natural resources and the environment while they are camping, visiting, and hiking - no visitor should have to hike or camp in a place where there is garbage all over the place. Morgan Duke Conservation Society and its volunteers pick up litter at areas in the Adirondack Preserves, Catskill Preserves, and other places in New York State. At the same time, we educate the public about the importance of carrying their belongings out with them after they camp, hike, or otherwise visit an area. We do our best to educate the public that littering is extremely harmful to the environment.
Description
Morgan Duke Conservation Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Financial support we receive from the general public includes online donations, checks, and printer cartridges through our fundraising program. The public’s generous donations help maintain and preserve the natural resources and the environment in the Adirondack Preserves, Catskill Preserves, and other places throughout the state of New York.
