We are in urgent need of a few people who speak English and Spanish to help St. Vincent de Paul's Spanish speaking clients when our Thrift Store is open. In addition to food, we also can provide vouchers for furniture, clothing and household goods to impoverished Talbot County residents. Bilingual speakers would be a great help to us by translating conversations between clients and volunteers so we could better assist them with what they need. Currently our Thrift Store is open Thursdays from 1 - 4 pm and Saturdays from 9 am - 1 pm. A few hours a week or a few hours once a month would greatly help us. Thank you.

Our St. Vincent Advisors Team needs a few more people to help Talbot County residents in need of financial assistance. Hours needed would be on Tuesdays from 1-4 pm and/or Saturdays 9 am-1 pm, when our thrift store and SVA office are both open. We provide help with temporary lodging for homeless, utility bills, medical bills, rent and more. Some SVAs return phone calls we receive from area residents asking for help. If you can give us a few hours a week, or a few hours a month, we appreciate whatever time you can share to help others. Thank you.

Our Thrift Store helps fund our Food Pantry, providing food security and necessities to area needy. We are open two days a week: we are currently open Thursdays from 1-4 pm and Saturday from 9 am - 1 pm. Persons are wanted to assist customers in housewares, clothing and furniture as needed, or to ring up/bag purchases. This is not a big time commitment (you can choose how much time you want to spend) and we would love to work with you. Thanks for your consideration!

We are looking for people interested in writing grants, helping maintain our website, social media posts, working with our client advisors, marketing/fundraising efforts, being a telephone responder. Many of these tasks can be done right from your home. Other in-person opportunities are again available. The Food Pantry is open Tuesdays from 1-4 pm and Saturdays from 9 am-noon, currently on a drive-through basis. Other mornings, volunteers help pick up food at local supermarkets or unload the food truck at the Center. The Thrift Store is open 1-4 pm on Thursdays and from 9 am - 1 pm on Saturdays. Other times during the week are available for volunteers to help prepare items for sale. We'd love to have local businesses sponsor one of their employees for a few hours a week. Sorry, because of the Pandemic, we cannot accept student help or large groups at this time. If you can give us a few hours a week, or a few hours a month, all is appreciated to help area needy. Come and join us help improve lives...and make new friends! Thank you for your consideration of this worthy charity. We are 100% volunteer driven. Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
