The blazers is dedicated to providing a safe haven for learning in which one can develop and cultivate skills to listen actively, think critically, speak truthfully, act responsibly and compassionately and be a valued member in the community.

Description

Tthe blazers, which was founded in 1969 as a youth basketball program for boys and girls, has transformed itself into a unique learning center located in the manual arts cluster of the 8th district in south central L.A. Our program is focused on developing an appreciation of the natural world and the sanctity of life. Our mission is to instill a sense of self-esteem and self-worth through friendship, understanding, support and education. Our after-school enhancement program services the needs of boys and girls aged 8-12.
