The purpose of the Corporation shall be exclusively to establish and maintain a charitable and educational institution in the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Corporation will serve to advance the quality of life of Chinatown residents and promote community- building for Chinatown’s future. To this end, the Association will: 1. Promote resident decision-making over the future of Chinatown through regular discussions, evening meetings, newsletters, etc.; 2. Organize activities and participate in advocacy to protect and expand affordable housing and preserve Chinatown as a neighborhood for working families and the elderly; 3. Work for a safe and healthy living environment through community educational events and discussion; 4. Work collaboratively with community organizations and businesses to strengthen Chinatown as a social, cultural, political, and economic center.
The Boston Chinatown Resident Association works to be a voice for residents of Boston's Chinatown neighborhood. Our activites include voter education, advocating for affordable housing, interacting with elected officials to help voice needs of neighborhood residents, holding monthly public meetings, sending out regular emails with regards to pending legislation and interacting with surrounding neighborhood civic associations.
*The Boston Chinatown Resident Association does not have a phone. Email is the best way to contact us.
