Mission Statement

To empower the underserved communities; beginning in Houston, Texas , and extending throughout the United States, through the creation of educational opportunities, support networks and partnerships with families, schools, and businesses.

Description

Houston VIP Slam is a program of Expressions-EWCOC, a 501(c)3 dedicated to arts education and engagement. Once a month, we offer writing workshops and slam poetry competition. We are a PSI-registered poetry slam and send a team each year to the National Poetry Slam.
