Description

Vanuatu’s Little Stars Summer School (VLSSS) is a small, grassroots not-for-profit organisation in Vanuatu. The vision of VLSSS is for the promising students of today to become the dynamic leaders of the country tomorrow, evoking social change for the benefit of all.

VLSSS works toward this vision by running a summer school program in January every year on the island of Pentecost, in northern Vanuatu. The summer school brings together the brightest students from every primary school on the island at the end of their year 6 schooling. Further, year 10 students who have previously completed the summer school return for a senior program, which aims to consolidate and build upon skills developed previously. The summer school aims to build confidence and leadership skills in these young students, and supports the development of critical thinking, improved conversational language and problem-solving skills.
