SUSTAINABLE CONNEXIONS INTERNATIONAL INC

Description

Sustainable Connexions International (SusCo) was established in 2012 in the U.S. The work of the organization centers around helping orphans and other vulnerable children develop the necessary skills to become self sufficient adults. Working with local and global partners, SusCo has developed innovative programs to help enhance the critical skills of children, youth as well as care givers. Our model seeks to engage the community surrounding the orphanage to build a stronger safety net in support of vulnerable orphans. We bring our camp curriculum to an orphanage where we engage in sports, spiritual development, arts and crafts, leadership development and health and wellness.

The organzation was founded by Alyson Parham Small who traveled to Ghana and saw first hand some of the challenges many of the orphanages experienced in caring for the children. Today, SusCo operates with a board of directors as well as an advisory committee comprised of individuals representing different parts of the U.S.A and Africa.
