Friendsgiving, a Dessert and Wine Auction will take place November 11th, 6:00pm-10:00 pm at the IMG Golf Club, 4350 El Conquistador Parkway in Bradenton. This is a fun event that benefits Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare, the nonprofit whose mission is to fundraise for the shelter animals of Manatee County Animal Welfare. The event consists of a live and silent auction, wine pull, food and drinks and lots of fun. We need volunteers to help place decor on the tables, bring the auction baskets in from our vehicles to the venue and help man the auction tables during the event. At the end we will need help distributing the prizes and wrapping up the event. IMG catering staff will be setting up the tables and chairs so no heavy lifting is required on our part. We hope you will join us.

Volunteers will drive to pick up desserts from local bakeries and bring to the event venue. You won't be doing this the entire time from 9 am - 4 pm. You will most likely spend about 2-3 hours picking up the desserts. Dessert pick up locations may range from Bradenton to Sarasota to Lakewood Ranch to Anna Maria Island.

Volunteers will help distribute and display flyers by taking them to local shopping centers and area businesses to ask if they will display them in their store windows on on their countertops at the check out register. Most of the businesses will be locally owned because corporate businesses usually do not allow that without corporate approval. We are hoping to have volunteers distribute flyers in several areas such as Anna Maria Island, NW Bradenton, Downtown Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, North Sarasota, Parrish or along SR 64, Palmetto, Cortez Rd and along business 41. Each volunteer or group of volunteers would pick one or two of these areas so they are not responsible for covering all of these areas. Contact us by email to let us know which areas you would like to canvas to distribute the flyers.
