This position is for a seat on our Board of Directors. It's a small ministry with simple decisions. We are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable corporation and in good standing. We keep the Board small and friendly. Since we are a Virtual Recovery Center, decisions are simple; however, We are looking for fresh ideas and guidance. As a Board Director, you will also be responsible for some promotion and occasional fundraising. We are 100% non-denominational & Biblical, as there are no denominations in Heaven. Must be a US Citizen who lives within the US Must have a fairly good working knowledge of the Bible Must not subscribe to the disease theory of addiction or 12 Steps Must believe that Jesus can heal addiction as He can heal any other human frailty Must be able to be available for a monthly, or occasional bi-weekly 60 minute board meeting online Must be available to communicate between meetings via email, text and phone regarding issues that may require attention Must have a heart for those in addiction and for people in trauma Having overcome an addiction yourself, is a plus Must be willing to take part in one or two very simple fundraising events per year that are completely non-invasive to your life and will cost you nothing Must be prepared to give us your testimony on how you got saved Must be able to pass a basic criminal background check Must be a resident of the US and speak English very clearly Please note: This opportunity requires you to live in the US and be a US Citizen. You must speak English, and be able to communicate clearly. *** If you understand Board protocol or have been a board member before, it is definitely a plus, but not necessary. We can train you. Our format is very uncomplicated. Although this is a volunteer position on our nonprofit board of directors, please be prepared to take it to heart as though it were a paid position. None of us are paid in the ministry. All volunteers, in all capacities, who have given of their time to this ministry, and have been faithful in all ways, will receive a very beautiful and powerful letter of recommendation from us which you can use for whatever your needs are. This letter will be yours after you term of service, with a minimum of one year with us. Our mission is to successfully navigate clients through addiction recovery carried out online, from home, where they can have family support and supervision. We work with the client in recovery as well as their family. Our non-denominational Christian program is Bible based and non-12 steps. We are a charitable 501(c)3 Christian nonprofit corporation and are all volunteers. Our goal is to offer each person a lifetime of addiction freedom, which happens when this program is embraced with faith in Jesus Christ. In lieu of the Covid-19 pandemic, we changed the course of this ministry so that it is administered exclusively online in order to ease the minds of those we help . So, we are a COVID FREE ZONE! From time to time, we need to consult a lawyer on some issues. Qualifications: Must be available to communicate by phone and Zoom, with email/text communication between discussions. Must be able to pass a background check, if deemed necessary by our board. We are a small 501(c)3 charitable Christian non profit. We have a Virtual Addiction Recovery Center where we meet with those in recovery on a one-to-one basis to help navigate them through a successful Biblical Recovery. We do not require anyone to pay if they don't have the money. We need to fill 3 Board Directors seats at this time. We only meet twice a year in a Virtual Board Meeting on Zoom. We also communicate via Telegram to update and get opinions from our Directors. There is no need for experience, as we will train as we move forward. It's a very simple volunteer opportunity. Our requirements are that you are a born again Christian and that you can pass a criminal background check. You will also need 3 letters of reference. After one year of uninterrupted and dedicated service, we will provide you with a powerful letter of reference for those of you who are career oriented. The first term is for a one year term that will be renewable for 2, 3, or 4 years, should you enjoy serving with us.
