The Cleburne Public Library has a vast collection of books, dvds, audiobooks and other materials that help our patrons obtain information meeting their personal, educational, cultural and professional needs. All of these items need to be placed back on the shelves in numerical and alphabetical order so others can find them and enjoy them. As a shelving assistant, you will improve patron and staff experiences at the library by insuring their desired materials are in the correct location. We are very flexible and will work with your schedule.

We are looking for an individual with knowledge and experience using computers that include internet, email, social media, and word processing. You must be able to provide one on one assistance to diverse library patrons with all skill levels. You must be able to explain computer information in simple, clear terms. You must be willing to commit to 2 or more regular hours per week.

We need volunteers who can assist patrons with various pieces of equipment in the maker corner, including: Cricut, Scan n Cut, 3D printer, sewing machines, embroidery machines, heat press, bow and button makers, poster printer, photo printer, photo scanner, and digital converter. This volunteer will not be making the project for the patron, but guiding them with the equipment usage. We need someone who can commit to a 2 hours shift at a weekly consistent time. Daytime, evening, and Saturday times are available.
