Mission Statement
The mission of Advocates to End Domestic Violence is based on our belief in the worth, dignity, and uniquness of individuals, their ability and responsibility to affect change in their lives, and the right to live free from violence. In light of this mission, the purpose of Advocates to End Domestic Violence is to provide services for the victims of domestic violence that will aid them and their families in ending the violence in their lives.
Description
Advocates to End Domestic Violence is a voluntary, Not-for-Profit agency founded in 1979 by two former battered women in Carson City, Nevada. Our agency offers a 24-hour crisis hot-line, peer counseling, bi-weekly support groups, individual counseling, parenting classes, community outreach, legal services, referrals, transition housing, bi-lingual services, batterers' intervention program, and a staffed 51 bed shelter which allows for an extended stay of up to five months.
