JA of Maine provides volunteers with training and materials to become classroom volunteers in schools throughout Maine. The purpose of JA is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. JA's sequential and integrated Kindergarten through grade 12 programs help young people use information, apply basic skills, think critically, and solve complex problems. Classroom volunteers make economic concepts relevant, fuel the entrepreneurial spirit, and challenge the students to excel.
