Mission Statement
Junior Achievement empowers young people to own their own economic success. Our volunteer-delivered K-12 programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire kids to dream big and reach their potential.
Description
JA of Maine provides volunteers with training and materials to become classroom volunteers in schools throughout Maine. The purpose of JA is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. JA's sequential and integrated Kindergarten through grade 12 programs help young people use information, apply basic skills, think critically, and solve complex problems. Classroom volunteers make economic concepts relevant, fuel the entrepreneurial spirit, and challenge the students to excel.
