Description

The Alum Creek Dog Park is beautiful 4-acre free public dog park at the Alum Creek State Park. It includes fully fenced areas for small and large dogs and a dog beach at the lake. All areas have shade trees and benches. Drinking water is provided seasonally.

In 2008, approximately 300,000 people visited the Alum Creek Dog Park. In 2007 the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association gave it a Superior Award and Dog Fancy Magazine voted it the best dog beach in a dog park. Built by the Friends of Alum Creek Dog Park in partnership with the staff at the Alum Creek State Park, the Alum Creek Dog Park opened in June 2006.

Friends of Alum Creek Dog Park organization is a 501(c)(3) not for profit group of volunteer board members who manage the dog park.

The Friends group can’t do it alone - we are always looking for other dog lovers and park users to join our team and help with monthly clean up events, improvement projects, fundraising, and special events.

If you are interested in helping keep the dog park clean, please come out to out monthly Meet & Clean events from 10am to 12pm - it is the last Saturday of every month! We hope to see you there!
