(ECLI) is a trauma-focused 501(c)(3) human service agency dedicated to reducing the incidence and impact of abuse on Long Island by providing prevention education to our community and comprehensive supportive services to survivors. ECLI confronts the unmet needs of both the underserved and those who have been disempowered by oppressive forces on the individual, organizational, and societal levels, and employs a holistic model of care to address the full spectrum of obstacles experienced by survivors of abuse.
Empowerment Colalborative of Long Island is composed of dedicated volunteers providing professional services such as mental health counseling, social work, and legal advocacy, community advocacy, work readiness, professional interships (paid and unpaid), training, community outreach and educational services. Whatever skill our volunteers have we make good use of! We provide youth and our community with cooking classes, house keeping workshops, health and wellness, money management, etc. All services are to empower our cleints to get on their feet and learn skill that wil assist them in making positive descisions in the future and pass that down to their children in an effort to break the cycle of poverty, abuse and violence.
