Mission Statement

Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS works to educate school chiliden and the public on how Netarts Bay Area beaches, estuaries, wetlands and watersheds can sustain a healthy local habitat while recognizing the importance of sustainable economic values and improved quality of life. We accomplish this mission through the use of educational recreation and environmental programs that foster stewardship, awareness and appreciation of the unique Netarts Bay ecosystems.

Description

We are a small nonprofit that ortanizes educational activities centered on Netarts Bay Oregon. In 2017 we are offering 25 classes and tours for the general public, ranging from tidepool exloration, hiikes, kayak tours, oyster indusstry tours, painting, basket making, and many others. We also sponsor 8 full-day tours for children in Tillamook County schools. These programs are free of charge. We are funded by grants and public donations. Except for a half-time Executive Director, our programs are organized and managed by volunteers.
