During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to participate in our Impact Sector survey, access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Our mission is to bring the diversity and relevancy of street art to California’s state capital, democratize art by making it more accessible, promote community pride and identity, beautify neighborhoods, foster economic development, and celebrate artistic expression. In conjunction with Friends of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission, proceeds from Wide Open Walls will go to support arts education.
The "Wide Open Walls" mural festival is taking place from August 10 through 20, 2017 . It will bring over 20 local muralists, emerging artists, university students and more than 12 international street art superstars to the Sacramento region. It will include many opportunities for the public to engage with the artists - including public mural tours, artist receptions and panels, pop-up events at various mural locations, a street art gallery, 1st Friday and 2nd Saturday celebrations, and the Wall Ball - a fundraiser for arts education.
