Mission Statement

Our mission is to prevent cruelty, neglect, provide methods for animal adoptions, and educate the public about low cost spay and neuter programs. It is our intent to temporarily house rescued wild animals for release and adoptable domestic animals for adoption to the public. We also host a food pantry to aid in keeping families together during hard times.

Description

We are a NO kill animal shelter serving Morgan County, Alabama. All animals are spayed or neutered before being placed in a loving home. MCHS is operated by volunteers, and is a certifying organizations for the Presidental Volunteer Service Award.

I can't save them all, but I can help MCHS save a few lives. This is a great opportunity to volunteer for all ages and families. I always enjoy playing with the cats and dogs while I am there.
