Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate and empower children and families by utilizing the most relevant, current, inclusive researched based behavior interventions so that each individual can reach their highest level of independence and effectively participate in their communities. We also offer The Grace School program for students who would be best suited for a classroom environment. The Grace School mission is that we believe that all students can and will learn given the right set of tools and instruction. Simply put, we believe if a student isn’t learning it is the teaching that must be fixed, not the student! Our mission is to educate and empower students and their families by utilizing the most relevant, current, and inclusive research-based behavioral and educational practices. We strive to partner with students and their families so that all children can reach their highest level of independence and effectively participate in their communities.

Description

The Northwest Arkansas Center for Autism & Developmental Disabilities offers therapeutic programs, educational programs, and family support for area children with autism spectrum disorder. Our programs range from pre-school through secondary, in both individual and small group settings, depending on each child's needs.

The Grace School enrolls students from both general and special education backgrounds who are traditionally placed in grades K-12. The Grace School welcomes a diverse group of learners, including students who often "fall through the cracks" in more traditional classroom settings. The Grace School is a year-round private school alternative that utilizes the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to build solutions for learning for every student. The Grace School opened its doors in 2010 as a private special education alternative offered by the Northwest Arkansas Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. Since we opened our doors, we have continued to be recognized as a school environment where all learners can learn and thrive. We strive to help each student excel in a challenging, nurturing learning community.
