Mission Statement
The mission of the Council for American Indian Ministry, United Church of Christ, is to share the Good News of God's love for all people through witness, service, and action of, by, and for American Indian people.
Description
The Council for American Indian Ministry (CAIM) of the United Church of Christ is that denomination's agency for American Indian ministry and program. CAIM is a 501(c)(3) agency incorporated under the laws of the State of North Dakota with Foreign Nonprofit Corporation status in Minnesota. Governed by a Board of Directors comprised of American Indian church leaders from North Dakota, California, South Dakota, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Wisconsin, CAIM provides direct support for American Indian congregations, identifies and supports the education of candidates for ministry, engages in various activities for American Indian youth and works toward justice for American Indian persons on many fronts.
