Mission Statement

Anchorage re:MADE is a retail store, where items are repurposed and lives are renewed. Our vision is to create an incubator for people wanting to start a small retail business or food service company. To provide training and support for people who have barriers to employment. To collaborate with other non-profits, providing them with our excess donated goods.

Description

Volunteers make it happen!!! As an all volunteer organization, we work together to create amazing furniture, home decor, sewing and wood projects as well as amazing food in our commercail kitchen and serve in the Gathering.

If you enjoy a fun fast paced enviroment, you will enjoy volunteering here. Volunteer opportunities include, remaking items, cashiering, board development, networker with non-profits and businesses, sorting, cleaning, sewing, cooking, mentoring 18 - 22 year old special needs young people, teaching art and life skills. In 2017, being a friend/fund raiser so that we can purchase the building we are currently renting.

Volunteer opportuities are usually from 11 - 5, Monday through Saturday or til 8 pm on Thursday. Limitied oppoertunities to work at home and groups of volunteers at special times.

Also, need volunteers to be the Anchorage Landfill on Saturdays preventing items from going into the landfill. In 2016, we prevented 10,000 pounds from going into the landfill.
