Mission Statement

S.A.V.E. Ohio Pets is a non-profit whose mission is to reduce the homeless pet population in Central Ohio through community outreach and promoting spay/neuter, adoption, volunteering, and education.

Description

This year, SAVE Ohio pets is expanding our mission to include pet wellness, veterinary care and food to animals of the low income and homeless. Our first event was held on January 14, 2017. We partnered with Columbus Dog Connection, SOS, Peace for Paws Org., RescuedOhio, I Have a Dream Rescue and Pittie Paws to hold a one day free pet wellness clinic and spay/neuter event. 45 spay/neuters were per formed on site, 75 S/N were scheduled to be performed at SOS and 175 animals received rabies, vaccines and micro chipping. We plan to hold wellness clinics on east Broad St. monthly, beginning in March. The clinics are free to low income people that can provide proof of public assistance.

Our mission is to help low income families keep their pets healthy and in their home, reduce unwanted litters and decrease the number of dogs and cats entering shelters.
