Into Your Hands Africa is a nonprofit 501©3 tax-exempt organization. Its mission is to empower youth and families in rural Uganda through education and enterprise development.
The foundation operates independently and supports programs such as women’s enterprise training, life-skills student education, small family owned businesses, community development associations and school-based agricultural enterprises.
In 2007, IYHA became a formalized nonprofit organization and today the organization works in over seventy villages across two sub counties.
Activities to meet the overall mission of the organization include:
Providing assistance for families to develop their own revenue streams through small-
scale livestock and agricultural enterprise businesses
Empowering women and girls in Uganda with the tools necessary to attain economic
and social self-sufficiency
Developing stronger communities through program engagement, exploration and
implementation to support a shift from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture
Assisting youth and young adults in attaining a vocational and formal education
We accomplish these objectives through our enterprise programming which allows for food production, income generation and self-sufficiency.
