During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Habitat for Humanity of Wood County believes that every person deserves a decent place to live. We rely on donors and volunteers to build, rehab, and repair homes locally and across the globe. At Habitat, volunteers are central to our work. You'll be joining a team of other like-minded people who want a hands-on way to improve their community! You'll see us active in the community in two main ways:
The home ownership program provides low-income families the opportunity to purchase a safe, affordable home. Participating families complete 250-500 "sweat equity" or volunteer hours and commit to paying a no-interest or low-interest mortgage. Homes are constructed by teams of volunteers--no experience is required to help build a home!
We work with families who need health and safety-related home repairs. We provide repair services at a reduced price, and the homeowner has access to a no-interest loan to cover the remaining cost of the repair work.
