Mission Statement

The rescue is 100% committed to saving as many adoptable GSDs in shelters across the United States. Having a centrally located licensed kennel in Indianapolis, Indiana, the rescue is able to save shepherds of all ages and health, including those who are not good with other animals. Although dog-intolerent dogs are harder to adopt, they too deserve a forever family. By not depending on available foster homes, this allows for saving all temperaments and shortens the time a GSD must wait to be rescued.

Description

Founded in August 2011, the rescue has saved over 506 dogs from kill shelters in Indiana and surrounding states. The rescue began as a result of President and Founder, Amber Marks, volunteering at a kill shelter for over six years. Seeing the GSD (German Shepherd Dog) breed being needlessly killed due to poor shelter behavior, she began her personal quest to save as many adoptable shepherds as possible.
