Mission Statement

The Westside Coalition for Housing, Hunger and Health is an alliance of over 40 social service organizations, public agencies and faith communities committed to ending hunger and homelessness and improving the health and wellbeing of those most in need, through service coordination, public education and advocacy. Members work together to provide services that include initial engagement and service referrals; showers, food and clothing; housing; medical care; mental health treatment; job training and placement; and substance abuse treatment. Member agencies have been instrumental in advocating for low income and homeless people at the local, state and national levels.

On Friday, May 19, 2017 , over 600 bowlers, representing social service agencies, local businesses, and local government, will compete in the Westside Coalition’s Lawn Bowl-A-Thon . The event, which will be co-sponsored by the City of Santa Monica, will be held at Douglas Park in Santa Monica and will include food trucks, auction items and a variety of fun activities. All funds raised from the Westside Coalition's Lawn Bowl-A-Thon will go towards ending hunger and homelessness in Los Angeles as well as improving the health and wellbeing of our society's most vulnerable members.
