Mission Statement

To enhance the quality of life in the Hispanic Community and other Communities in need by providing education, training, and employment services that empower individuals, businesses, and communities.

Description

Originally founded in 1965 through the collaborative efforts of the League of United Latin American Citizens, (LULAC), the American G.I. Forum and the U.S. Depa rtment of Navy as a job bank to assist Hispanic veterans, SER has since grown into a national organization with affiliates throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. SER Houston is a premier affiliate serving more than 15,000 people per year with their workforce needs.

SER impacts communities and assists individuals to transform their lives through career coaching, occupational training, job placement, financial education and many other wrap around services!

We target the unique workforce needs of low-income Youth, Adults, Senior Citizens, Ex-Offenders, Veterans, unemployed/underemployed individuals throughout the Texas Gulf Coast region.
