Kentucky Foothills Therapeutic Horsemanship Center is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals with physical, emotional, and developmental disabilities by facilitating the exploration of the age-old relationship between horses and humans.
KFTHC offers programming for adults and children. Through KFTHC's programming participants learn saftey around horses, mutual respect between horse and human, and leadership.
Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) is an umbrella term for the programs and services offered at KFTHC. These activities inclue both mounted (Therapeutic Riding) and ground (Therapeutic Horsemanship) acitivities. Other catergories include Recreation and Leisure Activities, Sport Activities, Equine Assisted Personal Development, and Equien Assisted Learning activites.
