At first I was a bit apprehensive volunteering with Heartland Hospice. However, Shannon provided me with a lot of great material to better understand my role and support before I went out by myself. If I ever had an issue, I was able to get in contact with her - she's a great volunteer coordinator. The overall experience was dear to me. I learned a lot of things and I was happy to see a difference that I was able to bring to someone every week. I was able to create a schedule that worked for me while I went to school. Although I had to end my time with Heartland Hospice early (~5/6month total) due to finishing college, I would definitely recommend volunteering with Heartland Hospice.

I enjoyed my volunteer experience in this organization. They were flexible with my schedule and everyone is nice and friendly.
