Promote understanding and appreciation of the natural resources of the San Francisco Bay Area; increase awareness of the human impacts upon these resources; and inspire community involvement and action that will protect and restore the Estuary and the watershed that surrounds it.

Description

The Aquatic Outreach Institute (AOI) has a staff of ten and manages nine programs on creeks, wetlands, and the San Francisco Bay that involve educators and the general public in local natural resource protection. We are proud of our programs, which have received federal, state, or local awards each year for the past nine years.
