Mission Statement

Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D), a National non-profint volunteer organisation, is the Nations educational library serving people who cannot effectively read standard print because of a visual, perceptual or other physical disability. Our mission is to promote education and professional success by converting published materials into recorded, computerized and other accessible formats. The Santa barbara unit was founded in 1976. Today, 300 Volunteers read and produce textbooks on audiotape for studenst with print disabilities in Santa Barbara and elsewhere in the United States and abroad.
