SHELTER PET ENRICHMENT FUND INC

Charlotte, NC-based Shelter Pet Enrichment Fund (SPEF) is CMPD Animal Care & Control’s 501c3 partner, whose unique purpose is to create happy pets through the provision of enrichment and training programs at the shelter. In 2015, SPEF expanded to offer training and enrichment resources to the community via its website, www.shelterpetenrichmentfund.org. Founded in 2011 to support the full time trainer funded by the Train to Adopt Program Grant, the group evolved into the Shelter Pet Enrichment Fund with the vision of decreasing the number of animals euthanized and increasing the number of adoptions at the shelter.
