Mission Statement
The Wimberley Village Library welcomes and supports its patrons in the enjoyment of reading, pursuit of learning, and exploration of ideas. The library is committed to serve as a gateway for patrons to its current collections, the Internet, other electronic and media information as it emerges, and its Interlibrary Loan program. The library is designed to assist in lifelong learning for all residents of the Wimberley Village Library District and Texas. The library’s staff will strive to offer individualized service and convenient access to quality information and materials. The library’s staff will keep library collections, related resources and facilities current as the community evolves, limited only by the district’s fiscal resources.
Description
The goal of the Wimberley Village Library is to serve as a gateway for lifelong learning and as a center of intellectual and cultural resources for the community and citizens of Texas. The library staff maintains a current and diversified collection of materials, provides access to interlibrary loan services and electronic databases, and presents public programs for children and adults. The library staff and volunteers strive for the highest standards of patron service.
