Description

Our organization focuses primarily on serving low-income, high crime neighborhoods in Fresno. Our goal is to serve at-risk youth and families through relationships, after-school programs, and mentorship. Our Mission Care residents commit for a year to live in an apartment complex in different under-resourced neighborhoods. They run an after-school program on-site along with residentional and nonresidential volunteers. Volunteers mainly help tutor and lead different activites. Such as, sports, arts and crafts, bible studies, photography, video-making, and support Mission Care residents with program management. Volunteers who connect with a particular student also have the option of becoming a mentor, which is our hope for all of our Mission Care residents and committed vounteers!
