We exist to proclaim the gospel and extend God’s mercy to the homeless and hurting of the greater Louisville area, in support of the local church.
Louisville Rescue Mission has been providing gospel-centered care to Louisville’s homeless and hurting since 1881.
Our signature LifeChange program serves up to 40 men at a time through two phases: Recovery and Transition. Over half of these residents are part of LifeChange: Recovery, a four- to six-month program offering robust, holistic services, including a safe home, individual counseling, Christian discipleship, life skills classes, health and wellness training, and workforce development. The remaining residents are part of LifeChange: Transition, a year-long program providing continued case management and life-stabilizing services for those moving toward independent living. We also provide showers, laundry, personal storage, mail service, and meals to an average of 575 men and women each month through our Emergency Day Shelter.
