Description

Beaverton City Library (BCL), the third busiest library system in the state of Oregon in terms of collection use, serves a population of approximately 148,000 (the population of Beaverton plus a portion of the residents of unincorporated Washington County). Each month, more than 40,000 people visit BCL to check out more than 215,000 items. The library's total annual circulation is larger than 2.6 million items. BCL's three locations have collections of more than 315,000 items.
BCL Main, located on the corner of 5th and Hall in historic downtown Beaverton, is a 69,000 sq. ft. full-service library. The main library has recently opened a makerspace and study rooms. Main also provides meeting rooms and many storytimes and events.

BCL Murray Scholls, located in the Murray Scholls Town Center in southwest Beaverton, is a 12,000 sq. ft. facility providing popular materials, with an emphasis on youth collections and storytimes.

BCL's Bookmobile debuted in July of 2023. The Bookmobile serves the greater Beaverton area.
