The Mission of the Foundation for Black Heritage and Culture is to build collaborative partnerships that empower and advance Black communities through arts, health & wellness, finacial empowerment and education.

Description

Established in 2012, The Foundation for Black Heritage and Culture is registered 501c 3 organizations geared towards empowerment in education, health & wellness, financial empowerment, and the arts.

The foundation is presenter of the annual Houston Black Heritage Music & Arts Fest.

The Houston Black Heritage Music & Arts Festival (HBMAHF) is a one-day cultural event that features speakers, exhibits, musicians, artists, poets and craftspeople locally and nationally. The Festival, which will take place this year September 30, 2017 at the George R. Brown Convention Center downtown Houston, will promote diversity and cultural sensitivity. The ond day experience provides both children and adults with an opportunity to increase their awareness of African and African-American culture and history.
