Mission Statement

The mission of the Pacific Crest Trail Association is to protect, preserve and promote the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail as a world-class experience for hikers and equestrians, and for all the values provided by wild and scenic lands.

Description

The PCTA's community-based volunteer groups are the bedrock of your volunteer program and the backbone of the trail. Groups of devoted volunteers adopt and regularly work on designated sections of the trail, keeping it maintained and passable for all to enjoy.

Your Mid-Oregon Chapter takes care of 165 miles of the PCT; north from Windigo Pass to the north side of Mt. Jefferson. The chapter offers numerous work parties that don't all necessarily appear on the PCTA website because the chapter uses an email system of notification. For more information contact midoregon@pcta.org.
