Mission Statement

The mission of the Bhutanese Community in Iowa (BCI) is to enhance the quality of the life of Bhutanese refugees resettled in Iowa, and pave a way for their smooth transition into the American mainstream life style while preserving and promoting their own cultural heritage too.

Description

The Bhutanese Community in Iowa (BCI) is a 501 (c) (3) organization founded by the Bhutanese refugees living Iowa. Eventhough the organization was existent early in 2011, it received its official status as a non-profit in 2013. The BCI has been serving the Bhutanese living in Des Moines and nearby cities.
