Volunteer Committee Members are needed for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Tri-Cities. The Planning Committee is at the heart of every Walk to End Alzheimer’s event. This dedicated group of volunteers drives the event’s development and growth - advancing the fight against Alzheimer’s from the ground up. Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest fundraiser to fight the disease. All funds raised through the event benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Turn your passion for pickleball into purpose by joining the fight to ENDALZ! You can show your love, passion and commitment to the fight to ENDALZ by joining us for The Longest Day 2024 season. If you love to play pickleball, and are passionate about ending Alzheimer's we can help you turn that into a fundraiser to ENDALZ. Whether you plan a tournament, social game, clinic, or a relay or volley challenge, we can guide you to success. Participants plan their own events so you can literally do anything, anywhere, anytime from September 1 to August 31 each year. Although this is a do it yourself event, we are here to support you every step of the way. We'll provide tools and resources to help you succeed including a t-shirt, webpage, donation link and QR code and access to online tools resources and local support. Regardless of when your event takes place, we ask all participants to unite online on the longest day of light- the summer solstice to share their stories, event pictures and to honor their loved ones on this special awareness day! Your efforts will help fuel the care & support, advocacy and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association's Tennessee Chapter. This is a critical time in our fight and any help you can lend to the cause is so very important. Together we can shine a light to ENDALZ!

The Alzheimer's Association is looking for high school and college students in the Tullahoma/Lynchburg areas to help us reach those looking to join us in the fight to #ENDALZ. These exceptional students will serve on our Walk to End Alzheimer's planning committee and assist in contacting previously engaged participants to let them know about this year's event and coach them to reach their fundraising goals. This opportunity takes place on your own timeline but we ask that you volunteer 2-4 hours a month to this role. You will be working from your own location and using your phone to call and text participants as well as following up with emails. Don't worry, this isn't cold calling, you will be reaching people who want to join this fight! Our staff partner will provide call lists on a monthly basis that align with your time commitment as well as call, text, and email scripts and resources. If you are passionate about ending this disease and joining the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support, and research efforts, we would love to connect with you!
