Mission Statement
The CMU-Regina Maria Foundation Fundatia CMU-Regina Maria is an NGO that was established six years ago in Bucharest out of the desire to come to the aid of the families without income and medical insurance through sustainable medical and educational projects.
Description
The Social Clinic Baba Novac- which for six now offers free medical examinations and treatments in a variety of medical specialties to a number of 2000 beneficiaries. Only during 2016 at this Clinic we offered a number of 5600 medical examinations and treatments that included 1800 internal medicine examinations, 2600 dental treatments, 300 gynecological investigations, 200 ophthalmological examinations and so on.
Since March 2015, our Foundation opened a second Social Clinic - Policlinica Sociala Sala Palatului that is addressed to persons with very low income with medical needs that exceeds the medical coverage and who can not afford to go to the private clinics. They benefit here of a wide area of medical services at very low prices, the funds gathered here being used for the support of the medical services at the Social Clinic Baba Novac. Recently we inaugurated a new social project, aimed also to come to the aid of the patients without income and medical insurance, a social coffee shop -Cafeneaua Sheida.
Aside from the projects in the medical field the Foundation CMU-Regina Maria has another two educational projects addrssed also to disadvantaged families, one located in Bucharest- Baneasa Educational Center- with started five years ago and who offers support to a number of 30 children, and another one in Clinceni, where about 100 children benefit of educational programs and a variety of recreational workshops.
