Description

Big Bear Valley Ecotourism is a project of a group of organizations, agencies, and local citizens which has formed the Big Bear Valley Ecotourism Coalition in order to support, encourage and promote Ecotourism in our Valley. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, TaxID#20-0650845 which is sponsored by Friends of Big Bear Valley.

The Coalition assembles information on local natural habitats, ecotourism activities, tours, events, recreation, and sustainably-run local businesses. Through this website, booklets, smart phone apps, and audio tours, we use this information to promote Ecotourism and direct our visitors to the various Ecotourism activities in our Valley. It also gives our local businesses the opportunity to bring attention to their individual contributions to maintaining our unique mountain environment.

Big Bear Valley already has some ecotourism activities, but there has not been a coordinated effort to expand and promote them.
