Mission Statement

Field Projects International (formerly PrimatesPeru) is dedicated to the study and conservation of tropical ecosystems. We conduct wildlife research and field training at sites around the world, from the Peruvian Amazon to India's Western Ghats. Through scholarship programs, outreach events, and other initiatives, we aim to make science inclusive and accessible to all.

Description

Field Projects International provides educational opportuities for international students and volunteers interested in tropical ecology and field biology. Such work is carried out through short-term and long-term training programs based at field stations across the world. Our strength lies in bringing biologists that have experience living and working in tropical rainforests together with participants of all backgrounds in order to educate the next generation of natural historians and conservationists.

FPI provides scholarships for participants from across the globe to attend our programs and assist with data collection. Through our One World Science initiative, we also pursue science outreach and our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Additionally, our research and our global partnerships support the conservation and protection of threatened ecosystems worldwide.
